Robert Young, an event and portrait photographer in Aiken, SC, is the owner and founder of Forever Young Professional Photography.

His interest in photography started back in 1960, at the age of eight, when his father was photographing train wrecks for the Louisville & Nashville Railroad. Over the years, Robert’s passion took him to Hawai’i, the Bahamas, France, Alaska, and beyond. For the last twenty years he has been a resident of Aiken, South Carolina.

Eventually, he realized that he wanted to take his passion for photography to a more formal level. The people and places of Aiken and its surrounding areas provided a rich backdrop for these endeavors. Thus, Forever Young Professional Photography was born.

Over the past four decades, Robert has become a proficient photographer specializing in both film and digital photography. Rather than being “locked” into only one form of media, he has leveraged the advantages unique to each. He currently owns and utilizes a "full range" of both medium format Hasselblad film equipment, as well as an equally complete range of Nikon digital camera equipment, tailoring his equipment for the specific job in question.

In the area of post production, Robert has the full range of knowledge, photographic software, and computer hardware needed to correct and enhance any image to suit a client’s needs. Images can also be processed and corrected by a nationally recognized professional retouching lab, if the customer wishes, to professionally remove major artifacts such as braces, unwanted reflections, shadows, etc from any image in a timely and cost efficient manner.
